Job Description

Located just minutes away from all of the excitement of the glittering Las Vegas Strip and Las Vegas Convention Center, Tuscany Suites & Casino provides guests with a relaxing getaway perfect for business travelers, a long weekend with friends or your next family vacation. This position assists the CFO with various accounting and audit related duties. This position is also responsible for overseeing accounting staff including, but not limited to, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, general ledger accountants, and revenue auditors.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    -Assists the CFO in the month-end close process and ensures an accurate and timely month-end close
    -Supervise revenue audit team, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger ensuring all duties are performed accurately and in accordance within established deadlines
    -Cover other positions in accounting department as needed
    -Responsible for maintaining accurate and complete fixed asset records
    -Supervise and participate in month-end inventory procedures to ensure inventory is performed accurately and within established deadlines
    -Performs monthly, quarterly, and annual procedures as assigned to maintain compliance with Gaming Control Board Regulations, Minimum Internal Control Standards, Federal laws, and other gaming or local regulations.
    -Responds to inquiries from department managers or directors regarding financial reporting and other special request
    -Assist CFO in development and implementation of new procedures to enhance the workflow of the department
    -Support CFO with special projects
    -Responsible for department staff schedules and payroll
    -Performs other duties as assigned by the CFO

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

    -Bachelor's Degree with emphasis in Accounting or equivalent work experience required
    -Five (5) years of experience in casino and hotel accounting with knowledge of General Accepted Accounting Principals
    -Must be a self-starter and be able to conduct self in a professional manner
    -Must have exceptional time management skills and be able to multi-task in a fast paced environment
    -Must have strong analytical, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
    -Must be proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
    -Must be able to utilize Aristocrat Oasis 360, Sage 100ERP, Oracle Opera PMS, MICROS, and other gaming or hotel systems as needed
    -A valid Nevada Gaming License is required and must be obtained before entering this position
    -Able to work with varied schedules as needed
