Description

AAA Northern California, Nevada & Utah is seeking career-minded individuals to join our Sparks team for our Property & Casualty Insurance Agent career opportunity.

Our insurance sales agents use sales techniques and strong product knowledge to identify customer-specific needs to generate new sales and retain and grow our insurance renewal book of business. Works to meet or exceed enterprise targets as defined in the annual sales incentive plan. Effectively employs skills to overcome objections and close sales and retain current customers. Conducts an insurance review for clients to identify a range of products and generate sales of new insurance policies and memberships and cross sell other AAA NCNU products. Uses in-depth product knowledge and sales techniques to effectively overcome objections and close sales. Uses tools to assess risk, recommend appropriate products and coverage, quote, bind and issue policies. Emphasis is placed on excellent phone skills as in addition to networking, much of your business will be built via telephone follow up and the ability to qualify and evaluate members' household needs to close the sale!

Generates leads and provides marketing support for insurance and membership products. Proactively solicits and markets to business and/or community events, outbound calling, marketing lists, and cross-selling/up-selling of new and existing accounts.

Responds to customer inquiries and requests relating to insurance products and membership. Researches and resolves complex customer service issues. Acts as first notice of loss for claims.

May assume some aspects of leadership components of a branch location.

Qualifications

Required:

* Persuasive interpersonal skills.
* Basic reading, writing and mathematical skills needed to complete a high volume of forms correctly and calculate rate quotations accurately.
* Basic typing and computer skills.
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills needed as well as ability to exercise discretion and good judgment.
* Ability to work independently.
* Must have command of the English language and must be able to express oneself effectively, in person and over the telephone.
* Must display interpersonal skills and be able to interact with members, employees and others in a professional and tactful manner.

Preferred:

* Bachelor's Degree.
* Ability to obtain & maintain Insurance Solicitor's License.
* Valid Automobile Operator's License.
* Acceptable driving record, if licensed.
* Thorough knowledge of all AAA membership benefits, insurance programs, procedures needed to enroll applicants into these programs, and all forms and manuals used in the application and renewal process.
* Knowledge of AAA underwriting guidelines.
