Personnel classified as PA-I are subject to job tasks associated with, but not limited to, ID/CAC issuance and retrieval, and electronic records. Accordingly, the administrative/clerical work requires a familiarity with the terminology of the office unit and simple adaptations and interpretations of a number of substantive guides and manuals. PA-I s use established and defined criteria to prepare, monitor, and verify documents and records crucial to airmen careers and the mission the Military Personnel Section. As such, personnel must demonstrate an ability to grasp new concepts and processes as well as be multi-task capable. Interface with all type of customers on a daily basis.
PA-I s functions as VOs. Some of the other specific duties they perform include determining dependent identification card eligibility; updating dependent data; and notifying units of newly married military to military couples and single parents. In addition, they monitor the integrity of personnel data within their functional areas by reviewing and taking action on transaction registers and other computer products generated to assess information accuracy. In general terms, they brief customers on a number of personnel programs and ensure compliance with personnel policies, directives, and procedures by responding to inquiries and making referrals to other agencies when needed.
The PA-I is tactful and articulate. They provide service to walk in customers on an as needed basis for rapid processing of critical requirements. They may be tasked to gather information and assist with the preparation of statistical and other reports for presentation to managers for internal and external use. The PA-I will perform other duties as assigned.
Experience: Two years increasing experience in a high volume administrative work center, preferably with the U.S., state or local government. Organization skills, communicate well in spoken and written English language. Prior USAF military having held a 33S4, 33S3, 36M3, 3S071 or 3A071 AFSCs may be substituted for education.
Knowledge: U.S. Air Force Personnel Instructions, Manuals and Systems.
Training: MS Windows operating environment and applications
Minimum of High school diploma.
Must be a U.S. Citizen
