Description

Job Summary:

Responsible for stacking baled materials, emptying full 3-4 yard containers of recyclable materials that are collected by line sorters.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Perform daily pre-shift inspections on forklifts.
* Responsible for following all safety rules and procedures regarding forklift operation.
* Reports to shift supervisor for work assignments.
* Responsible for weighing light bales and recording the correct weights on forms provided.
* Coordinates with floor and line supervisors to empty full container of recycled materials
* Empty all trash bins throughout the day in and around the plant.
* Regular reliable punctual attendance is essential because of limited staffing resources.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

Education and/or Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

Fork Lift experience preferred

Language Skills:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

OSHA Forklift certification a plus
