Airgas-West, Inc., (Airgas Inc. s regional subsidiary responsible for Southern California/Southern Nevada/Arizona/Hawaii) is seeking a professional Plant Inventory Coordinator.

BASIC FUNCTION:
Responsible for the overall accuracy and record keeping of plant cylinder inventory.

ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Coordination and administration of industrial cylinder gas inventory, including but not limited to:
Receiving bulk product.
Production input.
Bin locations (segregation, separation, general layout management).
Part number management / verification.
Ticket changes.
Cycle counts.
Transfer ticket selection.
Motor freight receiving.
System stock adjustments.
Month end inventory:
o Setup count teams
o Inventory records proofing
o Variance review
o Data entry
Provide administrative support, including but not limited to:
o Enters tickets, production data, cylinder movements, and raw material receipts in SAP on a frequent and daily basis.
o Processes special handling in billing for customers.
o Prepares shipping documents for outbound freight.
Lead and promote safety, attend safety meetings, and strictly observe safety rules.
Ensure any injury or accident is reported immediately and investigated promptly.
Perform mathematical calculations.
Comply with all company policies.
Ensure proper and full time use of PPE.
Must be able to operate in a drug-free workplace.

SECONDARY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position has no supervisory responsibility.

High school diploma or equivalent certificate preferred. College degree desired.
At least 1 year of related inventory experience required.
Experience with SAP highly desirable. SAP certificate preferred.
Knowledge of the industrial gas industry is a plus.
Must be detail oriented.
Knowledge of standard office equipment PC, fax, copier, scanner, etc.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Ability to communicate professional, respectfully and effectively in both oral and written forms.
Strong customer service orientation.
Ability to work independently and under some pressure to meet deadlines.
Must be able to work with a wide variety of people with different personalities and backgrounds.
Ability to effectively and efficiently handle multiple tasks.
