Job Description: Accredo is a leading provider of specialty pharmaceutical services with a national network to provide the best patient care. We specialize in the distribution and clinical management of therapies for chronic pulmonary, respiratory, neurological, and immune disorders.
The Client Care Coordinator of Nursing Contacts/interacts with customers to ensure the timely scheduling and coordination of nursing visits/activities. Maintains nursing schedule. Processes and tracks Nursing Department paperwork. Acts as a liaison between nurses, pharmacists and patients to ensure that identified problems/concerns are addressed. Under close supervision of clinical staff.
Specific Responsibilities include the following:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1.Assists nursing department by scheduling nurses for cases, and handling Nursing Department paperwork which may include monthly schedules and other paperwork as assigned.
2.Maintains daily RN visit schedule and monthly on-call schedule.
3.Contacts / confers with patients regarding their scheduling needs and requests. Schedules nursing visits to meet patient needs. Confirms scheduled visits with patients.
4.Confers / collaborates with nursing management (MCPs, Nurse Mgr) as needed to make RN visit assignments according to RN competency. Maintains updated competency information for RNs.
5.Assists Nursing to control costs by making visit assignments with consideration of patient/RN geographic proximity, potential for overtime costs, etc.
6.Tracks RN licenses, TB tests, CPR recertification and other required documentation. Notifies RNs of document renewals due, tracks & follows-up on receipt of outstanding documents.
7.Enters Nursing visits into RxHome
8.Assists with Start of Care, POT, Recertification and Reassessment tracking.
9.Utilizes electronic resources, including Outlook Public Folders, e-mail and Excel spreadsheets, and shared public folders to track, record, and communicate with other members of the team.
10.Notifies Pharmacists, Nurses, and other related departments staff of any identified problems/issues by electronic chart (E-chart) or verbally.
11.Provides support/assistance to nursing management and staff as appropriate/necessary.
12.Identifies and resolves customer service problems and keeps management informed
Qualifications: Required Education and Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent and 2+ years customer service experience in the medical field or in home infusion drug therapy
Preferred Education and Experience: Bachelor s Degree or equivalent and 2+ years customer service experience in the medical field or in home infusion drug therapy. Knowledge of drug terminology preferred.
